This policy explains what personal data the VertTest iOS app collects, why, who it is shared with, and what rights you have over it.
VertTest (“we”, “us”) operates the VertTest app. We are the same developer that operates Bench and this website.

Your email address and a securely hashed password, held by our authentication provider. If you use Sign in with Apple, we receive the email address Apple provides — which may be a private relay address if you choose “Hide My Email” — and we never see a password at all.
Your unit preference (metric or imperial) and, if you set one, a display name.
When you save a test: the test type, when it was recorded, the frame markers you placed, and the computed numbers — jump height, flight and contact times, RSI, and box height for depth jumps.
Whether your subscription is active, so the app knows what to unlock. Payment itself is handled entirely by Apple — we never see your card details.
Your videos never leave your phone. VertTest records a short high-speed clip of your jump using the camera, analyses it entirely on your device, and saves it only to your own photo library. Videos are not uploaded to us or to anyone else. Only the numeric results described above are stored on our servers.
VertTest contains no advertising, no third-party analytics and no tracking. We do not collect your location, contacts, browsing activity or device identifiers for advertising. We do not sell your data.
We use a small number of processors who handle data on our behalf:

We may also disclose data where we are legally required to, or to establish or defend legal claims.
Our processors may store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States. Where they do, we rely on their contractual safeguards and take reasonable steps to ensure your data is handled consistently with this policy.
Your account and test data are kept for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, they are permanently removed.
You can delete your account in the app under Settings, which permanently removes your account, profile and all jump test data from our servers. Videos saved to your photo library are yours and are unaffected. You can also email support@benchfitness.app and we will delete your account for you.
We handle personal data in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and complain about how we handle it. If you are in the UK or EEA, you additionally have the rights granted by the GDPR, including erasure, restriction and data portability.
To exercise any of these, email support@benchfitness.app. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Data is encrypted in transit. Database access is restricted per user by row-level security, so one account cannot read the data of another. Your session is stored in your device’s secure keychain.
VertTest requires an account and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13; if you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
